With over 25 years of international film and television production experience, Alex has spent much of it shooting from helicopters. During the early stages of UAV technology Alex realized the potential and jumped in.
He was soon building, designing and flying his own aircraft. As the technology developed so did his skills and knowledge, keeping pace with the rapidly changing environment. Having extensive experience with navigation, radio communications, safety systems, aircraft and aerial work Alex continues to advance in the world of UAV systems.
With 35 years of practical navigation experience, he holds both a Canadian Restricted Maritime, and Aviation Radio License and has recently completed The Aerobotika Academy Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Ground School course which exceeds the requirements set forth in Transport Canada’s TP 15263E (08/2014) Knowledge Requirements for Pilots of Unmanned Air Vehicle Systems UAV 25 Kg or less, Operating within Visual Line of Sight.
